Job Summary:
We are a unique surgical center that prides itself on providing excellent patient care and an exceptional patient experience. We care for patients from around the world, including a pediatric patient population. Our work family is looking for a caring individual who is able to provide the utmost professional and compassionate care to our patients. This individual must possess current PALS and ACLS certifications and have experience in perioperative (Pre-op) and postoperative care (PACU). Because we care for a significant pediatric patient population, candidates must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients and possess recent pediatric clinical experience.
The duties will include:
- Pre-op appointments
- Educate patients and their families regarding their specific procedure.
- Initiate IV access for patients.
- Monitor patients following anesthesia to ensure safe recovery.
- Assess patients' condition and manage pain effectively
- Collaborate with the surgical team to create individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
- Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or ambulatory surgery setting preferred.
- Knowledge of acute pain management techniques.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
