About the Role
The Restaurant at Zero George—newly recognized as a Michelin Selected restaurant—is seeking a talented and passionate Server/Sommelier to join our team. Our tasting-menu-only restaurant showcases contemporary American cuisine with global influences, crafted by Executive Chef Vinson Petrillo. We offer an intimate fine dining experience where thoughtful service, precision, and exceptional wine pairings are central to the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Zero George standards for fine dining for both food service and wine service.
- Foster a community atmosphere of teamwork and ensure the tipped pool service is maintained.
- Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a seamless, elevated dining experience. Including high-end floor and wine service standards.
- Guide guests through the wine list and recommend pairings that complement the tasting menu. Speak on the entire beverage menu from cocktails to by-the-glass wines.
- Execute all aspects of wine service, including decanting, proper presentation, and ensuring optimal serving conditions.
- Ensure proper glassware standards, cellar maintenance, and wine storage protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in wine sales
- 2-3 years of restaurant service experience (fine dining not req.)
- Wine certification not required (but appreciated)
