Job Overview
Robin's Nest Café is looking for a friendly, dependable Café Team Member to join our team at the historic Shannon Airport in Fredericksburg, VA. Our unique aviation-themed café serves everyone from pilots and aviation enthusiasts to local families who enjoy watching airplanes while sipping a hand-spun Hershey's milkshake or enjoying one of our signature sandwiches.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service in a clean and welcoming environment. Food service experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person. Team members will also assist customers in the airport gift shop and Shannon Air Museum when needed.
Duties
- Open or close the café as scheduled.
- Prepare food and beverages according to café standards.
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service and operate the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining and kitchen area.
- Wash dishes, restock supplies, and assist with inventory as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, and other café equipment.
- Assist customers in the airport gift shop and museum when needed.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a great experience for every guest.
Qualifications
- Food service or customer service experience preferred.
- Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Flexible availability, including Saturdays.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
