Gulf Stream School is seeking a substitute Pre-Primary & Lower School music teacher. This is a full-time, 5 days a week position, from 7:50-3:30, beginning as soon as possible through November 20, possibly longer. Duties include:
- Teach PK4-Grade 4 music classes; two to four 30-40 minute periods a day preparing students for Holiday Sings and the Holiday Show, described below:
- Holiday Sings (play Holiday music and lead caroling for 4 sessions; 15 minutes each)
- Holiday Sing and Reflections (similar to Holiday Sings but includes meaningful holiday readings between songs; 40 minutes)
- Holiday Show (winter holiday oriented performance including students in grades PK to Grade 4; two performances, 60 minutes each)
- Arrange music and programs for the Holiday Sings and the Holiday Show.
- Teach/coach various ensembles (vocal and instrumental) in Quarters 2 and 4; one period daily; 40 minutes.
- Supervisory duties such as lunch and recess; one period a day for 40-50 minutes.
Compensation: $250/day
Pay: $250.00 per day
