Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, construction vechicles, diesel engines, brakes, transmission, and other systems. Applicants needs a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues in diesel enfines
- Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
- Preform preventative maintenance
- Preform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
- Prepare work orders and order parts
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Experience
- High School diploma or GED Certificate (preferred)
- Valid driver's license (CDL Strongly preferred)
- Experience with diesel engine repair
- Welding experience required
- Mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
