Monarch Ford in Exeter, CA is looking for a Ford Certified Diesel Technician with a strong background in diesel diagnostics and repair to join its service team. This is a role for someone with real experience; the minimum is 3 years of fleet or dealership diesel work, and Ford dealership background is strongly preferred. Perform diesel diagnostics and repairs to Ford factory standards, working from repair orders and documented customer concerns
Evaluate critical components and safety systems using manufacturer inspection checklists before and after service
Adjust safety devices, protective guards, and fasteners as needed to meet factory specifications
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify quality, safety, and performance
Tag and submit warranty parts to the warranty clerk following dealership procedures
Record completed work on repair orders accurately, including labor operations and torque specifications
Monitor Ford technical service bulletins and attend manufacturer training sessions as assigned
Keep the workspace clean and organized, and return customer vehicles in a better condition than they arrived in
Ford certification required
Minimum 3 years of fleet or dealership diesel repair experience required
Prior Ford dealership experience a plus
CDL license a plus
Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and apply technical manuals, bulletins, and repair procedures
Must supply own tools
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
High school diploma or equivalent required
