Provides high quality instruction to students in individual and small group settings
Demonstrates superior knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials and equipment of instructional specialty to which assigned
Apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs
Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups
Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-level
Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of students
Uses identified research-based interventions that focus specifically on individual student needs
Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive environment
Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress
Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress
Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress
Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress
Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed
Maintains and submits required reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
Provides input for program development
Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems
Make provisions for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional environment when required or requested to, under reasonable circumstances
Attend and participate in faculty and other meetings as scheduled by administration
Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods
Establish and maintain cooperative relations with others
Maintain professional competence through professional development activities
Provide for his/her own professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework at institutions of higher learning
Properly uses and cares for equipment and material resources of the school system
Supports and complies with school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local regulations
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor(s)
