PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The pool supervisor will have responsibility for our pool facilities and staff and other common areas around the property to include vending, the arcade, guest laundry and exercise room.
They will be an ambassador of the Bird-in-Hand properties, will maintain a high level of guest service and create processes to improve service quality and enhance the overall guest experience.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of one year in a customer service role
· Management or Supervisory experience preferred
· Possess a positive outlook, strong communication skills and the ability to engage others
· Ability to use standard computer programs and communication skills to coordinate scheduling, hiring, evaluations and other department needs.
· Available to work evenings and some weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
· Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
· Willing to help other departments in hotel as needs arise.
· Ability to multitask in order to juggle various demands during work day.
· Pool Certification required.
· Child Abuse Clearance required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Experience – Plans and assists with the following
· Provides leadership in the development of robust guest experiences
· Monitors guest reviews and takes corrective action as needed
· Instills passion for memorable guest experiences in team members
· Creates processes to improve service quality
· Develops and leads special events to promote the Bird-in-Hand brand
· Creates events and opportunities to increase revenue from lodging guests
· Plans and assists with lodging socials
· Assists with the planning of Bird-in-Hand events, to include annual events, the Christmas event at the Bakery & Café, outdoor festivals
Pool Supervision, Safety & Cleanliness – Responsible for the following
· Monitors Guests actions to ensure that Guests are enjoying the pool area, and all activities, in a safe way. No running, diving, excessive noise or disrupting other guests with unsafe behavior.
· Ensures the safety of guests by removing safety hazards in the area.
· Completes incident reports in the event of any guest accidents.
· Ensures the pool area is properly secured every day.
· Assists disabled guests with the pool lift as needed.
· Ensures chlorine and PH levels are tested and documented twice per day.
· Evacuates and closes the pool during thunderstorm events.
· Serves on the Safety Committee
· Daily Pool Deck Care: Mop (puddles), sweep, organize furniture, and monitor trash
· Daily Bathroom Areas: Checking, cleaning and resupplying
· Daily cleaning of windows, chairs, tables, and towel station
· Daily Pool Care: vacuum pool, brush sides of pool, empty skimmer baskets
· Daily Pool Towel Work: launder, fold, and organize for guests.
· Coordinate use of Laundry Equipment with laundry manager as needed.
· Special cleaning projects as needed
· Keeps pool attendant station, game room, laundry area neat and clean.
· Completes the opening and closing checklist while on duty.
· Cleans common areas: B1 Vending, sunroom including stairs, exercise room, game room areas, firepit and guest laundry.
Hospitality – Oversees and does the following
· Interacts with guests throughout the shift, greeting guests upon entering and exiting, answering questions, enforcing rules, and helping guests enjoy the pool area
· Helps with room runs as needed (extra towels, pillows, etc.)
· Maintains proper signage for communicating rules and policies.
· Staff Leadership: schedules, trains, evaluates, and coaches staff
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
