Duties
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments to ensure efficient routing and delivery timelines.
- Monitor GPS data such as Samsara to track fleet locations, optimize routes, and respond swiftly to any delays or issues.
- Schedule appointments to meet shippers' requirements
- Enter accurate data into logistics platforms to maintain precise records of dispatch activities. Data entry via csv into dispatch platforms.
- Utilize analysis skills to assess transportation plans, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that improve overall supply chain performance.
- Oversee fleet management tasks including vehicle assignments, maintenance scheduling, and compliance with transportation regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a dispatch and or driver manager role.
- Strong knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping, and transportation planning principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally and efficiently.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating logistics data and optimizing dispatch operations.
- Familiarity with freight shipping & receiving procedures and fleet management practices
- Proficiency in data entry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality service standards.
