JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Manager and Procurement Director with day-to-day accounting and finance activities. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to transactional accounting, month-end processes, and cross-functional financial analysis within a fast-paced, hospitality-driven organization. The intern will collaborate with accounting, finance, procurement, marketing, and operations teams while building a strong foundation in accounting principles and business operations.

Assist with processing daily accounting transactions, including sales, refunds, and basic journal entries.

Support daily cash reconciliations for all locations, including cash transfers, checks, ACH, and debit transactions.

Help prepare and enter invoices, expense reports, and month-end accruals under supervision.

Monitor and assist in managing the Accounts Payable email inbox.

Support month-end close activities, including documentation and reconciliation support.

Assist with data gathering and ad hoc financial analyses to support finance, marketing, operations, and strategy teams.

Participate in identifying opportunities for process improvements within accounting and finance workflows.

Provide administrative and analytical support for procurement activities, including new store openings and ongoing operations.

Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

Complete other accounting-related projects and duties as assigned.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Familiarity with accounting systems or point-of-sale platforms (e.g., Toast, Sage Intacct) is a plus but not required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Prior internship, coursework, or experience in accounting, hospitality, retail, or service industries is a plus.
Able to start immediately.
