Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two LPN positions are available—one supporting a middle school student and another with a high school student—for both the Extended School Year (ESY) summer program and the New School Year (NSY) from August through May. The ESY assignment runs July 7–31, four days per week, 4.5 hours per day, while the NSY role spans five days per week with 32–37 hours each week.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active and current LPN/LVN license in good standing
- Pediatric, adolescent, or school-based nursing experience preferred
- Ability to provide close supervision and maintain a calm, reassuring presence—particularly for students who may attempt to leave the classroom unexpectedly
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Experience managing medical needs such as administering medication, monitoring health status, and responding to emergencies
- Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer direct care to assigned students, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day
- Accompany students during transitions and activities, especially those with increased supervision needs
- Document care provided and update health records in compliance with policies and regulations
- Act as a resource to educators and staff regarding student medical needs and protocols
- Participate in meetings and trainings as required for student care plans
