Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Conduct route driving to visit clients, deliver products, or perform merchandising activities efficiently and safely according to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Utilize pricing strategies and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities and increase revenue
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and route schedules for optimal efficiency
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills when explaining product features, handling inquiries, and resolving customer concerns
- Perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading merchandise, adhering strictly to safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Follow all safety protocols related to automobile transportation, commercial driving, and heavy lifting while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or customer service roles; military experience is a plus for discipline and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, upselling techniques, and merchandising principles
- Strong math skills for calculating costs, discounts, and profit margins accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; familiarity with safe lifting practices is essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse customers
- Familiarity with route driving, automobile transportation, and DOT regulations for safe vehicle operation
- Demonstrated organizational skills for managing schedules, route planning, and inventory control
