Position Summary:
The Residential Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple residential properties. This includes preventive maintenance, repairs, and responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
- Complete resident service requests promptly and efficiently
- Conduct inspections and identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Prepare units for new residents (make-ready tasks, painting, fixture replacements, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, grounds, and equipment rooms
- Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure work orders are tracked and completed
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls on a rotating on-call schedule
- Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety protocols
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in residential maintenance or similar role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in various conditions (indoors/outdoors)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
