Tame It Curl Haus, its an intimate curly hair and a head spa studio. We focus on textured hair, scalp wellness, holistic head spa experience. We are a non toxic, mother planet conscious, inclusive studio.
Our mission is to support an often underserved textured-haired community through education, healthy hair practices, personalized care, and meaningful connection.
We are seeking a Head Spa & Curly Hair Associate who is passionate about learning, wellness, and helping people feel seen, supported, and confident.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform a head spa treatments under training and supervision at first, and for paid guests independently
- Learn foundational curly hair care, styling techniques, and client education
- Develop knowledge and passion for hair and scalp care products, including ingredient awareness and clean beauty practices
- Support guest experience by helping create a calm, welcoming, and wellness-focused environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of salon space
- Assist with daily salon operations including laundry, sanitation, and preparation of treatment room
- Participate in content creation for the salon, including photos, videos, behind-the-scenes support, new product/services launches
- Create your own content that reflects your learning, growth, and connection to the brand
- Utilize social media management skills to promote salon services, special events, and new product launches, etc.
Qualifications
- Valid Cosmetology or Barbering license
- Fast learner who has passion for textured hair and scalp health
- Kind, intuitive, and emotionally intelligent
- Strong communicator who enjoys connecting with people
- Dependable, coachable, and self-motivated
- Experience in scalp treatments and curly hair styling preferred but not required
- You might not know it all, but please be open minded, kind, curious, inclusive, non judgmental and very kind
