Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to operate various types of trucks and transport freight safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, including route driving, load & unload operations, and experience with different trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and excellent driving skills to ensure timely deliveries across designated routes.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Follow assigned routes accurately and deliver freight on schedule
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations
- Assist with forklift operations when necessary for loading or unloading cargo
Skills
- Valid CDL license with relevant endorsements for different trailer types (refrigerated trailer, tanker, flatbed)
- Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred
- Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery and route driving
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures for various cargo types
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts when required
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation laws
- Excellent navigation skills for route planning and delivery efficiency
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and warehouse personnel
