Wine Sales Associate
Park Plaza Liquor & Deli, Prescott's premier destination for fine wines, craft beer, specialty spirits, and premium cigars, is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Wine Sales Associate to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wine and helping customers find the perfect bottle for any occasion. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, share wine knowledge with guests, and help create an enjoyable and educational shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the retail store
- Assist customers in selecting wines based on taste preferences, food pairings, occasions, and budget
- Share knowledge of wine varietals, regions, styles, and producers
- Stay informed on new wines, seasonal offerings, and featured products
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Stock shelves, build displays, and maintain an organized sales floor
- Assist with inventory replenishment and product rotation
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-merchandised retail environment
- Support sales of beer, spirits, and cigars as needed
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
- Interest in wine and willingness to continually expand wine knowledge
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system accurately
- Ability to lift and carry wine cases and other merchandise
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail, restaurant, hospitality, winery, tasting room, or beverage sales experience
- Knowledge of wine varietals, wine regions, and food pairings
- Experience making product recommendations and upselling
- Passion for wine and customer education
