Job summary
We are seeking a Pre-Construction Project Manager for a NYC-based real estate development firm specializing in ground-up residential projects (50–100+ units). This role is responsible for leading all planning activities from concept through start of construction.
Responsibilities:
Lead full pre-construction phase through project start (ground-up residential)
Manage budgeting, early cost estimating, and master scheduling
Oversee design development coordination with architects and consultants
Handle NYC zoning, entitlement, permitting, and agency approvals
Conduct site due diligence and constructability reviews
Coordinate closely with internal teams and site/project managers for seamless transition to construction
Requirements:
2+ years of pre-construction/project management experience
Strong NYC real estate development experience is required
Proven experience on 50–100+ unit ground-up residential projects
Deep knowledge of NYC codes, zoning, and permitting processes
Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
This role requires ownership of the full pre-construction lifecycle and the ability to drive projects from concept to construction readiness.
Pay: $115,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
