Summary
The Systems Engineer provides assistance in meeting cb20’s business objectives in the post-sales support and servicing of connectivity and high-end systems products. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to installation, service, ongoing support, problem resolution, and coordination with cb20’s departments, divisions, and subsidiaries. May be responsible for all technical functions of pre-sales support including customer technical presentation, consultation, design, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and support of advanced systems solutions.
- Participate in the design and scheduling of advance systems solutions.
- Provide high level technical assistance to internal and external clients.
- As needed, provide training, or give technical advice to customers and other personnel.
- Positively influence customer satisfaction levels with cb20’s provided products and services, through meeting customer expectations, follow-up, and positive problem resolutions.
- Plan and direct own activities with minimal management supervision.
- Maintain technical competence by keeping abreast of technology and technological developments, practices, procedures, etc.
- Provide pre-sales assistance with development of bill of materials and in gathering engineering information in the creation of professional services agreements.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to cb20’s Customer Support Center.
- Assist with the future development of cb20’s CSP offerings around Microsoft cloud products.
- Continuously progress technical knowledge through certifications and courses. Certifications will require studying on your own time. cb20 will typically pay for course materials and testing.

Qualifications Requirements/Job Specifications
Proven proficiency in all supported products and the ability to resolve problems of the highest complexity. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Proficient at installing and supporting high-end systems solutions efficiently and reliably. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Must maintain certification and demonstrate an elevated level of competence on software and hardware as defined by management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 7+ years of related system engineering experience required
Standards: Ability to follow standards as outlined in the cb20 Company Manual.
Skills: A clear understanding of current and emerging technology trends and the ability to analyze and make decisions regarding the system Integration group. Additionally strong presentation and written skills are mandatory. Strong teamwork skills are also mandatory. Qualified candidates have experience in one or more of the following: Office 365, Azure, Microsoft servers and networks, SANs, switching, firewalling, wireless.
Working time: 40 hours/week. All other times as defined by the demands of the customers and department’s needs. After hours work may be needed for projects requiring client system downtime.
Physical Dexterity: Must be able to travel and attend appointments daily.
Lifting: Typically, no lifting more than 60 lbs.
Psychological Stress Factors: System Integration duties require excessive concentration. Customer satisfaction at all costs may be stressful to some individuals.
