Trailer Handyman / Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled, dependable handyman to work on cargo and concession trailers. This position requires a strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, along with the ability to install, repair, modify, and maintain a variety of equipment and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Perform general construction, repair, and maintenance work on cargo and concession trailers.
- Install and connect restaurant equipment, including appliances, sinks, fixtures, and related components.
- Install mini-split air conditioning systems and related components.
- Install interior and exterior lighting, switches, outlets, and other electrical fixtures.
- Perform basic plumbing installation and repairs, including water lines, drains, sinks, and fixtures.
- Perform carpentry and finish work, including building and installing shelves, counters, trim, and other structures.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment safely and properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Follow safety procedures and applicable building, electrical, plumbing, and equipment requirements.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in handyman work, construction, trailer repair, remodeling, or a related trade.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Experience installing restaurant equipment, HVAC/mini-splits, lighting, shelving, or similar equipment is highly preferred.
- Ability to read basic plans, measurements, and installation instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take direction when needed.
- Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic.
- Must be able to safely lift, carry, and install equipment and materials.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades who can look at a job, figure out what needs to be done, and complete the work properly without needing constant supervision. Experience working on food trailers, concession trailers, mobile kitchens, or commercial spaces is a major plus.
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
