Duties
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, deep frying and plating to ensure timely service and high-quality dishes
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to food safety standards
- Support bussing and food running duties to ensure smooth flow of orders from kitchen to guests
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to hygiene and safety regulations
- Support front-of-house staff with serving guests during busy periods, including in-person customer service
- Operate POS systems
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation procedures, and allergen awareness
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless guest experience in a hospitality setting
Experience
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and restaurant workflows
- Experience with POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures required by health regulations
- Experience working in banquet settings or hotel kitchens is a plus
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining good physical stamina
- Prior experience in customer service roles within the hospitality industry enhances success in this position
