Join Northern Nevada HOPES, a mission-driven and award-winning FQHC at the forefront of community health and innovation, where you will lead the creation of a brand-new geriatrics service line from the ground up. This is more than a job, it's a rare opportunity to shape care delivery for diverse and under-resourced populations in a community that deeply values your expertise and impact. With access to two state-of-art facilities (The Jerry Smith Community Wellness Center and The Stacie Mathewson Community Wellness Center), and support of collaborative and dedicated teams, you will find purpose, professional growth, and unmatched job satisfaction in one of the most meaningful and in-demend specialties in medicine.
The Geriatrician serves as a specialized physician within Northern Nevada HOPES, providing evidence-based, compassionate care to older adults while contributing to the development of an integrated outpatient geriatrics program. This foundational role will help define and implement innovative, interdisciplinary care models that support aging in place, reduce healthcare disparities, and create exceptional quality-of-life outcomes for vulnerable senior populations.
The Geriatric Physician is a vital member of our award-winning medical provider team, delivering comprehensive, trauma-informed care to adults aged 60+ within our Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) environment. This position uniquely combines direct patient care with program leadership, creating clinical protocols, mentoring interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with community partners, and establishing Northern Nevada's premier age-friendly health system for under-resourced seniors.
At HOPES, we’re more than just a healthcare provider — we’re a team of changemakers dedicated to delivering affordable, high-quality medical, behavioral health, and support services to everyone in our community.
Be part of a team that’s transforming lives every day. Your work will directly contribute to improving health outcomes and building a stronger, healthier Northern Nevada.
