Job Summary
Make up to $2000 per driver per week. This is a TEAM ONLY account. It is preferred that applicants apply together as teams, if not, be willing to partner with another driver. We are seeking reliable and safe truck drivers to deliver freight on dedicated routes while keeping open lines of communication. 100% no-touch loads. HAZMAT endorsement is MANDATORY, although it is very rare that a hazmat load will be pulled. If applicants do not have HAZMAT at the time of application, you will be given 45 days AFTER ORIENTATION to obtain. Drivers may only pull 1-2 hazmat loads PER YEAR. It is also preferred that applicants live within a 100-mile radius of Atlanta, GA. Drivers can get home easier and more often the closer you live to the Atlanta metro area, as most trips return to the same location. Due to the nature of the schedule of the loads, drivers who live in the Atlanta area have the ability to go home during the week for a few hours then return to work to run their next load. Drivers are home on weekends. In addition, once teams have worked 3 weeks they have the OPTION of taking 1 week off as home time. This is not mandatory but only becomes available as an option after completing 3 consecutive weeks.
Duties
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance of FMCSA regulations.
- Manage HOS properly to ensure hours are available
- Factor in any additional stops (showers, meals, breaks, truck washes, etc.) to allow pick-ups and deliveries to be made on time
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Proficient in using cell phone and mobile apps
- Follow all company policies regarding safety, compliance, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (1 year VERIFIABLE OTR experience).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
