Production Operator
$20.00/hr to Start | $25.02/hr after 2.5 months
TOPS Staffing is hiring Production Operators for a well-established manufacturing company offering outstanding long-term career opportunities. You'll start through TOPS Staffing and, after successfully completing the training period and transitioning to client employee will receive a pay increase of over $10,000 annually, exceptional benefits, and long-term job stability, and excellent pension plan offering.

Starting Pay: $20.00/hour
After Hire-In: $25.02/hour ( hired by client after 10 weeks)

Shift Information
Candidates must be available to work any shift when hired. Most new employees begin on 2nd or 3rd shift and may have the opportunity to bid into daylight positions based on seniority
.
Available Shifts:
- Daylight: 7:00 AM – 3:15 PM
- Afternoon: 3:15 PM – 11:30 PM
- Night: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
What You'll Do
This is a cross-functional production role where you'll be trained in multiple areas of the plant, including:
- Operate and monitor automated production and packaging lines
- Load bottles, drums, boxes, and packaging materials into production equipment
- Perform quality inspections and remove defective products
- Connect and disconnect transfer hoses used throughout production
- Assist with blending operations by adding production materials
- Collect product samples for quality testing
- Monitor storage tank levels and record measurements
- Load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training available)
As you gain experience, you'll have opportunities to learn additional production processes and equipment throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus, but training is available
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working around production equipment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Lift up to 45 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable climbing stairs and working on elevated platforms with safety rails when checking storage tank levels
- Willing to work afternoon or night shift for an extended period before bidding into daylight openings
