As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about caregiving and has experience in various aspects of patient care.
Duties
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing clients.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document patients' health status, including vital signs and changes in condition.
- Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of services provided.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical documentation systems and patient care protocols.
- Ability to assist with daily living activities while promoting independence.
- CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
