Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as math, literacy, science, and social studies
- Utilize educational technology tools and learning styles adaptability techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction effectively
- Manage classroom behavior with proactive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, and school initiatives to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates
- Support students with special needs or those requiring early intervention by applying inclusive teaching practices and working closely with specialists
Skills
- Proven experience teaching elementary school students with a focus on 5th grade curriculum requirements
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized, disciplined learning environment
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across core subjects
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and developmental needs of children
- Proficiency in educational technology integration and learning technology tools for interactive instruction
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team coordination
- Experience working with students with autism or other special education needs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing procedures
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students academically and socially while fostering a love for learning
- Familiarity with private school settings or Montessori approaches is a plus

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
