Part-Time Delivery Driver / Budtender
Position Type: Part-Time (Up to 30 Hours per Week)

Position Summary
Dank Poet Dispensary is seeking an energetic and dependable, customer-focused Hybrid Delivery Driver/Budtender to join our team. This versatile position supports both our retail dispensary and cannabis delivery operations, providing superior customer service whether assisting guests in-store or delivering products safely and compliantly to customers.
The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to creating an exceptional customer experience while maintaining strict compliance with all state regulations and company policies. Candidates who are bilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely transport cannabis products to customers while complying with all applicable laws and company policies.
- Verify customer identity and eligibility at the point of delivery.
- Follow established delivery routes while maintaining delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain custody and security of all cannabis products, cash, and company property during deliveries.
- Complete required delivery documentation accurately.
- Utilize company delivery software and mobile technology.
- Report delivery discrepancies, incidents, or customer concerns promptly.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after shifts.
- Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Return cash, products, and documentation according to company procedures.
- Represent Dank Poet professionally and positively.
Retail Budtender Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers in a warm, professional, and friendly manner.
- Verify customer identification and eligibility in accordance with New Jersey cannabis regulations (all customers must be 21+).
- Educate customers on cannabis products, including: THC/Terpenes, Consumption Methods, Flower, Vaporizers, Concentrates, Edibles, Beverages, Tinctures, Topicals, Accessories
- Recommend products based on customer needs, desired effects, and experience level.
- Accurately process cash and debit transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) regulations.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and drawer reconciliation procedures.
- Assist with inventory receiving, stocking, merchandising, and product rotation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and work areas.
- Participate in product education and ongoing training.
- Assist with customer issue resolution while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Support store events, community outreach initiatives, and educational programming.
- Promote Dank Poet's culture of education, inclusion, and community engagement.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service during every customer interaction.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Follow all security procedures.
- Perform other duties/tasks as needed, including, but not limited to: sitting at reception, receiving product, labelling, event preparation, cleaning, etc.
- Support inventory accuracy and operational excellence.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
- Participate in Social Media/Marketing initiatives/campaigns.
- Promote Reviews through Employee Review Incentive Program.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and company regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or cannabis experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass company driving requirements.
- Comfortable using POS systems, mobile applications, and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous cannabis industry experience.
- Delivery experience.
- Cash handling experience.
- Inventory experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to enter and exit a vehicle frequently throughout the day.
- Ability to safely drive for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
