Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment plans tailored to each client's needs with a focus on Substance Use Disorder.
- Provides high quality, compassionate and ethical counseling to clients individually to meet treatment goals.
- Refer clients to other support services including detoxification, intensive programming, psychiatric services, social services programs, and employment services as needed.
- Maintain detailed and confidential client records in accordance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Assess and manage risk on an ongoing basis and adjust level of care and recommendations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently.
- Knowledge of risk issues and verbal de-escalation abilities, as well as consultation options.
- Ability to make decisions and mobilize resources quickly and effectively in an emergency
- Demonstrates professionalism with related professionals both inside/outside of the agency
Education and Experience:
- Active Ohio license/s:
- LSW: Licensed Social Worker
- MSW: Master Social Worker
- LISW: Licensed Independent Social Worker
- LPC: Licensed Professional Counselor
- LPCC: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
- SWT: Social Work Trainee
- CT: Counselor Trainee
- Must have a valid Driver License
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Experience working with clients who have substance use backgrounds preferred.
