Work where you matter.</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><br><b>A Brief Overview</b><br><br>The Senior Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory throughout the facility with the use of data and analytics, as well as managing new product introductions, physician specific requests and providing support to the value analysis process. The Senior Inventory Specialist is responsible for regulatory issue management as it relates to recalls, product back orders and emergencies. This position is the point of contact for physicians and clinical staff as it relates to supplies. They are the subject matter expert on the areas they are responsible for and have a working knowledge of the supplies and equipment used in the area, as well as the purpose and alternatives. This position will also lead inventory decision making for their areas with respect of how to stock and maintain adequate supply for patient care needs. Internal customers would include department heads, managers, directors, VP's and Physicians. <br><br><b>What you will do<br></b><br><ul><li>Leads supply conversion, implementation, and inventory project activities, including researching and analyzing product data, assessing site and department impacts, developing work plans and timelines, coordinating communication with leaders, physicians, and clinical teams, and arranging training or education as needed.</li> <li>Manages assigned inventory practices to ensure product availability, accuracy, readiness, and compliance, including PAR level review, replenishment practices, inventory organization, cycle counting, quality assurance, recall removal and reporting, and forecasting to reduce stock-out or overstock situations.</li> <li>Oversees high-volume procedural inventory operations in assigned surgical or procedural areas, including inventory accuracy, organization, replenishment, and supply readiness across 8,000 or more supply bin locations, representing inventory valued at over $3.5 million.</li> <li>Uses supply chain systems and software platforms to develop, interpret, maintain, and report accurate data, including Excel, Access, MMIS systems, GPO portals, GHX EDI portal, and other inventory management or technology platforms.</li> <li>Serves as the primary Supply Chain resource for assigned areas, maintaining strong working relationships with clinical staff, physicians, department leaders, vendors, and sales representatives. Provides subject matter expertise related to product substitutions, new product introductions, product utilization, vendor check-in expectations, and supply chain performance metrics.</li> <li>Supports high-acuity, time-sensitive procedural environments by quickly assessing supply requests, prioritizing needs, communicating professionally, escalating issues appropriately, and helping maintain procedure flow, billing continuity, charge capture, and clinical team confidence.</li> <li>Provides training, guidance, and process support to Supply Chain staff and assigned departments, including inventory management practices, department workflows, technology use, customer service expectations, escalation processes, physical inventory activities, facility-owned instrument counts, and bill-only purchase order backup support.</li></ul><br><b>Essential Qualifications</b><br><br>The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
