This role is for someone who already has active relationships with personal injury attorneys in Massachusetts. Not "can build them" — already has them.
We have a proven referral model, hundreds of signed law firm partnerships in other states, and a ready-made target list of MA firms. What we don't have yet is someone the MA personal injury bar already knows and trusts. That's the entire job.
If you'd be starting from cold introductions, this isn't the right fit, and we'll both know it in the first conversation. If you can name the firms you'd call in week one, keep reading.
The opportunity
This is a ground-floor role to own the Massachusetts market for a psychology practice that specializes in evaluations and treatment for personal injury patients. We partner directly with PI law firms to provide high-quality psychological care for their clients — from initial evaluation through treatment completion — and our referral-based model means lasting relationships with the legal community are the core of everything we do.
You'll be the face of Ascend in MA: opening doors with attorneys you already know, signing them as referral partners, and growing a pipeline that pays you directly. Your income ceiling is in your hands.
What you'll do
- Activate your existing network of MA personal injury attorneys and case managers, and sign their firms as Ascend referral partners
- Run in-person meetings, presentations, and office visits across the state
- Educate firms on how our psychological evaluation and treatment services strengthen their clients' cases and recovery
- Keep referral partners engaged so the volume is ongoing, not one-and-done
- Track outreach and pipeline in our CRM
- Hand off cleanly to Ascend's care coordination team once referrals start
- Represent Ascend at bar association meetings, legal networking events, and industry functions
What you must have
- An existing book of personal injury attorney relationships in Massachusetts — this is non-negotiable
- Proven experience selling to or partnering with PI law firms specifically
- A self-starter who needs no supervision to fill a day with productive meetings
- Strong in-person presentation and relationship skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across MA
Nice to have
- Background in medical-legal, legal services, or healthcare sales
- Working knowledge of PI case mechanics — PIP, liens, letters of protection
- Familiarity with the Massachusetts personal injury bar specifically
- Comfort with CRM and pipeline tracking
This is probably not for you if
- You'd be building these relationships from scratch
- Your PI network is in another state
- You want a steady salary over uncapped upside
- You prefer a defined territory handed to you rather than one you run yourself
Compensation
- Base: $60,000
- Commission: Uncapped and very high commissions— paid per law firm partnership signed AND on EVERY ongoing referral. This is where the real money is.
- Realistic earning potential: $100,000 to $600,000+ annually, driven by the strength of the book you bring and grow.
- Structure: 1099 independent contractor — flexible and autonomous
- Territory: All of Massachusetts. You own it.
Why Ascend
- Proven model: A successful referral operation across multiple states with hundreds of active law firm partnerships
- Momentum: Rapidly growing nationally across multiple states.
- Ready to go: Hundreds of MA firms already identified — your first calls are waiting
- We pay for results: We'd rather pay you extremely well on commission than cap you with a salary
- Meaningful work: You connect injured people with the psychological care they need to recover
How to apply
Send your resume and a short note that answers three things:
- Which Massachusetts PI firms or attorneys do you already have relationships with? (Names or firm types are fine — we understand discretion; we just need to see the relationships are real.)
- How many of those would realistically take a meeting with you in your first month?
- What's the strongest law firm partnership you've personally built, and how did you do it?
Applications without a clear answer to #1 won't move forward. We're hiring fast — the territory is ready, the firms are mapped, and we need someone who can start opening doors immediately.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $600,000.00 per year
