As a Childcare Floater, you will be a flexible and dependable team member, stepping into different classrooms and assisting with daily activities to ensure every child receives attentive, high-quality care. Duties
- Provide consistent, engaging care to children of diverse ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- Support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson implementation, activity setup, and cleanup to promote enriching learning experiences.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by supervising playtime, meal periods, nap times, and transitions throughout the day.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments, offering assistance wherever needed to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Implement behavior management strategies that encourage positive social interactions and emotional development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s daily activities and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and families.
- Flexibility to work across different classrooms and adapt to changing daily needs.
