Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and reliable climate control. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage, and water supply connections.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices to ensure proper operation.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and welders as needed for equipment repair.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, and preventative maintenance schedules for all HVAC equipment.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely when transporting tools or equipment between job sites.
- Assist with field service tasks including appliance repair, ammonia refrigeration systems (used in commercial cooling), and other property maintenance duties.
- Follow safety protocols during welding operations or working with potentially hazardous refrigerants like ammonia.
- Support ongoing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) projects by collaborating with team members on system upgrades or new installations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or mechanic with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge covering plumbing, appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Familiarity with field service procedures involving HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential settings.

Pay: $36.00 - $47.00 per hour
