Initially we will provide 2-days of work to evaluate your performance, best performers will work 4 to up to 5-days per week.
The Airport is open 7-days a week, 365-days a year.
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor Cleaner to join our team at Palm Beach International Airport. This role is vital in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the Airport facilities, contributing to a positive environment for travelers and staff alike. The position is based in the Palm Beach International Airport, West Palm Beach, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, lobbies, and other public areas.
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
- Ensure all work areas meet company and Airport standards for cleanliness and safety.
- Qualifications
- Proven janitor or custodial experience of 3-years preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods, including:
- Ability to Lift and Carry up to 50-Lbs.
- Ability to Push a Cart of up to 100-Lbs.
- Ability to Raise your Arms above your head for an extended period of time.
- Ability to Kneel down on all 4's.
- Ability to bend 50%.
- The Airport is over 1,000,000-Square Feet, the ability to walk up to 2-miles a shift.
- Ability to Squat for 40-minutes.
- Many Employees are Spanish Language Speakers.
