Overview
Designwerkes, Inc., An AS9100 manufacturer specializing in public transportation and expanding in Aerospace and U.S. Defense work, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Quality Manager. In this role you will lead our quality assurance and control initiatives through managing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, efficIency, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal and external quality audits to verify compliance with regulatory AS9100 requirements and company policies.
- Oversee quality control processes including inspections, testing, and validation to ensure product integrity from raw materials to finished goods.
- Work closely with special process sub-tier suppliers to ensure quality standards are met according to specifications.
- Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAIs) quality documentation, and inspection plans.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9145 and ISO9001.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and implementing effective QA/QC procedures.
- Relevant certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Lead Auditor credentials or equivalent are highly desirable.

- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years quality management experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments; ideally involving Aerospace and Military U.S. Defense work programs.
- Extensive background programming CMMs using MCOSMOS software.
- Experience leading regulatory audits and certification requirements.
- Proven experience managing and monitoring special process sub-tier suppliers to ensure quality performance.
- High level proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
- Management experience overseeing quality inspectors; providing hands-on support for critical inspection activities.
- Must have working knowledge of Net-Inspect First Article Inspection software.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
