Description:
Campaign manager needed for competitive general election in Cayuga County, New York.
The ideal candidate will have political campaign experience as Manager, Organizer, Coordinator, or Field Director. Ambitious, underqualified applicants are encouraged to apply and to send a cover letter along with a resume.
Scope of Services:
· Manage all day-to-day strategic execution and planning. Monitor progress of all operations of the committee: fundraising, candidate schedule, voter contact and outreach, media, and internal team coordination and communications
· Execute field plan, voter contact and coordination in VAN
· Actively achieve fundraising goals
· Assist with Event planning, logistics, execution and follow-up
· Weekly reports of progress to goal to team
· Train and manage volunteers
· Coordinate with parallel campaigns and local party committees
· Assist with budget preparation, and oversee budget, advertising and tracking of financial resources and expenditures
· Prepare and facilitate internal committee meetings, agendas, assignments
· Provide administrative and office support, including correspondence, mailings, filings, and data input
Job Requirements
· Expert knowledge working with VAN
· Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use office software like Excel, Word, and Google Sheets
· Experience recruiting, hiring, and managing staff and volunteers
· Strong interpersonal skills, positive demeanor and hustle
· Must be able to work independently and in team settings
· Meticulous organizing skills and the ability to balance many competing demands at once
· Willingness to work irregular hours and attend events across the County
· Access to a car and a personal laptop
