Job Summary
Heat ‘N Sweep is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse while ensuring materials, equipment, tools, and inventory are properly received, stored, tracked, and made available to the team when needed.
The Warehouse Manager will work closely with the office and field teams to maintain an efficient flow of materials and equipment and will report directly to the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager will:
- Manage the daily operations of the Heat ‘N Sweep warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Receive deliveries and verify materials against packing slips, purchase orders, or other documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Organize and properly store materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate material shortages or reordering needs to the Office Manager.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for scheduled jobs.
- Coordinate with field personnel to ensure required materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking company tools and equipment.
- Monitor the condition of warehouse equipment and company tools and report damaged or missing items.
- Coordinate the return, storage, and organization of unused materials from completed jobs.
- Assist in preparing materials and equipment for delivery to job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Assist with purchasing and material ordering as directed by the Office Manager.
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups with suppliers and other vendors.
- Maintain appropriate organization of inventory to minimize waste, loss, and unnecessary purchasing.
- Ensure materials are stored appropriately to prevent damage.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized.
- Set up or inspect equipment prior to operation.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain clear and accessible aisles, exits, storage areas, and workspaces.
- Report safety hazards, equipment problems, inventory discrepancies, and other warehouse issues promptly.
- Assist with maintaining company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and other operational assets as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with office staff, field personnel, vendors, and other team members.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with suppliers and delivery personnel.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
Qualifications
The Warehouse Manager shall:
- Have proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or a related position.
- Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing demands.
- Have good understanding of basic math and measurement.
- Be comfortable working with computers and basic inventory or administrative software.
- Have the ability to read invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, and other business documents.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving ability.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be physically capable of lifting, carrying, moving, and organizing materials and equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of workplace hazards and appropriate safety precautions.
- Be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining an organized and productive workplace.
Requirements
The Warehouse Manager should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, construction supply, HVAC, home services, or related experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or experience preferred, where applicable.
