We are looking to hire a full-time maintenance technician. Hours are typically between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Technicians are required to be on call which is generally one week every 3-4 weeks. Technicians are paid time and a half when they respond to after hours calls with one hour minimum per call.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has 4 years or more experience and is hard working, focused, honest, and willing to be part of a team. Applicants must be able to work independently, and must have great customer service skills.
We manage properties in several different locations, so reliable transportation is required.
Responsibilities include small plumbing jobs, managing work orders from tenants, small renovations, and emergency requests.
Below are typical types of jobs technician will be asked to do.
General Maintenance- Unclog and install toilets, replace garbage disposals, install blinds, replace faucets, repair/install cabinets and countertops, installing trim and baseboards, set doors, LVP flooring installation, install bathroom/kitchen fans, repair furniture.
Intermediate Plumbing- Troubleshooting leaks, clearing drains, fixing/replacing disposals, installing dishwashers, and replacing shower cartridges.
Drywall/Painting- Minor drywall repairs, painting small areas.
Four years' experience in maintenance/handyman work is required. Applicants must be able to receive emails and respond to requests on a cellphone. Must have own set of tools to use. Necessary tools would include but are not limited to the following: drill and impact driver with bits and attachments, skill saw, reciprocating saw, pipe wrench, socket set, basic drywall saw. Specialty tools are provided by the company.
Must pass a background check, have a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation. Applicant must be able to lift 45lbs regularly.
