Greater Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head of School/Director to lead our institution into its next chapter of excellence. We serve children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Previous experience as a Head of School or Director is highly desired, but we are open to experienced Lead Montessori Guides or Assistant Directors ready to take the next step in their careers.

The Role
As the Head of School, you will be the cultural and operational heartbeat of our school. You will oversee daily operations, mentor our talented staff, and engage with our parent community to ensure the highest standards of Montessori education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educational Leadership: Manage curriculum development to ensure high-quality, innovative, and inclusive educational experiences that meet accreditation standards.
- Oversee school admissions
- Community Building: Serve as the primary ambassador for the school, fostering strong relationships with families and stakeholders.
- Supervise staff.
- Operational Management: Implement effective management practices for daily operations, facilities maintenance, safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Engage actively with students through classroom visits, and participation in school events to promote a positive school culture
Mandatory Requirements:
- Montessori Credential: A valid credential from a recognized Montessori teacher education program (e.g., AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited).
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree.
- Familiarity with the Maryland Office of Childcare regulations: which include maintaining ratios in the classroom and other child safety guidelines.

Pay: $51,303.37 - $66,000.00 per year
