Labor Law Attorney (Hybrid)
Russo & Gould, LLP is a well-established and growing litigation practice seeking a Labor Law Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its collaborative legal team. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to handle a sophisticated and varied caseload while maintaining flexibility and work-life balance.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience defending New York Labor Law claims, specifically those involving Labor Law §§ 240 and 241(6). This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to manage cases through all phases of litigation.
Responsibilities
· Manage a caseload of New York Labor Law defense matters
· Handle cases involving Labor Law §§ 240, 241(6), and related negligence claims
· Conduct depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
· Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal briefs
· Develop litigation strategies and prepare cases for trial
· Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
· Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys to achieve successful outcomes
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York State
- 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in NY Labor Law §§ 240 and 241(6) defense matters
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience handling depositions and court appearances independently
- Excellent organizational and case management abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Trial experience is required

Pay: $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
