Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, coffee drinks, and non-alcoholic options while maintaining high quality standards.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely service.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all areas of beverage preparation and serving stations.
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, answer questions about menu items, and promote specials or upsell opportunities.
- Assist in food handling and serving food items at bar or counter areas, ensuring proper presentation and safety protocols are followed.
- Support the team during busy hours by managing time effectively, multitasking efficiently, and ensuring smooth operations during events like banquets or nightclub nights.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions accurately.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totals.
