Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services. Your expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair will help guide customers through their service needs while ensuring a positive experience. You will be responsible for managing service appointments, communicating with technicians, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including oil changes, shocks and struts, and auto body repairs.
- Write service orders and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services.
- Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area to promote a professional environment.
- Stay updated on automotive technology and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Familiarity with service writing practices and terminology used in automotive services.
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately.
- Skills in diagnosing vehicle issues related to shocks, struts, oil changes, and general maintenance are highly desirable.
- A background as a mechanic or in automotive service is a plus.
