Responsibilities
- Perform thorough floor cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to ensure pristine surfaces in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment to support housekeeping operations
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling chemical agents and ensuring all cleaning practices meet health regulations
- Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing supplies, restocking amenities, and preparing cleaning carts for daily use
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during incidents or hazardous situations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and courteously, enhancing their overall experience
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or industrial cleaning experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation standards, and cleaning equipment operation
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS instructions
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
