Job Title: After-School Program Instructor
Location: 201 S Tuttle Ave. Sarasota, FL
Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:30pm; Occasional Wednesdays 1:00pm - 6:30pm (Weekly Staff Meeting); additional hours as available.
Job Summary:
Girls Inc. is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and flexible individual to join our after-school program team. This position will be responsible for implementing the provided curriculum, leading engaging lessons, and creating an enriching environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences in a fun and engaging way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Lessons: Deliver curriculum-based lessons that are educational, interactive, and engaging for students.
- Lesson Planning: Prepare and organize educational content, activities, and materials ahead of time to ensure smooth execution of lessons and activities.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment, ensuring students are engaged and following instructions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure students’ needs are being met and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Educational Activities: Plan and execute a variety of educational and recreational activities, both in the classroom and outdoors, that support the curriculum and promote learning.
- Weekly Meetings: Attend and actively participate in weekly staff meetings to discuss program updates, share ideas, and collaborate on improving the program.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in an organized educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Organization: Highly organized and able to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Energy & Creativity: Must be creative, energetic, and enthusiastic, with a passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning environment.

Additional Information:
- This position is part-time, with the opportunity for additional hours as needed.
