Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by observing for changes, and reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences
- Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to sanitation protocols
- Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Document care activities accurately in resident records while respecting privacy standards such as HIPAA
Requirements
- Previous experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques,, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and medication administration are required or highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when needed
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers
