Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our primary care team. The FNP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across the lifespan, especially for geriatrics patients. Working in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals, the FNP will play a critical role in promoting wellness, preventing disease, and managing chronic and acute health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality primary care services, including routine check-ups, preventive screenings, and management of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
- Perform physical exams, obtain and document medical histories, and develop treatment plans
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging studies)
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management
- Coordinate patient care with specialists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and community health outreach
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
- DEA registration (or eligibility) to prescribe medications
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a primary care or family practice setting preferred (new grads welcome to apply)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
- Proficient in using electronic health records ( eClinicalWorks)
- Bilingual skills (Spanish)
