Engineer Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency in civil, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering disciplines, with experience managing projects across various phases including permitting, design, and construction. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in water treatment, stormwater management, pipeline systems, and other civil infrastructure projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that impact communities positively while advancing your career in project management and engineering.
Engineer Duties:
- What you’ll be doing
- Leader of cross-functional team collaborating with equipment
- Engage and resolve material, product, and process issues both internal and external
- Create and implement working/trial plan for confirmation & problem-solving activity using Lean practices
- Create detail technical and summary reports for organizational learning and development
- Input to process & equipment plan/specification for kaizen & issue reoccurrence prevention
- Use and advancement of systems and procedure for problem solving & learning capture
- Individual activity management, status visualization/reporting, and incremental reflection
- Lead internal & external partner relationships aligning to team objectives, development, and support
- Individual support for standardization & kaizen (continuous improvement) of Department systems and processes
- Mentor and teach other members in the team on battery knowledge, trial planning and execution, and data analysis
- Drive own individual development, seek feedback, and monitor progress
Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field
- 3+ years of equivalent Engineering role experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in manufacturing production preparation role and schedule/deliverable management including stages of project plan, process/equipment plan, specification & procurement, installation and trial.
- Experience in winding, cell assembly & electrolyte fill on automotive cells (2+ years, 5+ years Preferred)
- Experience in battery cell product, processes/equipment, and/or trial activity.
- Experience in activity of Ryohin Joken identification, application, and/or confirmation.
- Experience coordinating with varied functions in large corporate organization, including production engineering, manufacturing, research & development, and Quality, or similar, and reporting out to senior leadership level.
- Experience in interpreting & applying product/process specification, drawing and data, etc. including new material introduction and validation and change point management and confirmation
- Ability for weekend and shutdown work, overtime up to 25%, and travel (domestic and international) up to 15%
