Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
- 3-5 years’ experience (preferred)
Primary responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes to produce metal parts.
- Manages the daily operations, workflow, and staff on production floor
- Operate saws when needed
- Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
- Position workpiece correctly on the lathe, or milling machine.
- Monitor and control feed rate and speed.
- Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.
- Detect problems by listening for specific sounds.
- Monitor the accuracy of cuts.
- Replace dull cutting tools.
- Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
- Use manual and computer-controlled machinery.
- Write basic programs.
- Modify programs in response to problems.
Schedule:
Full-time: 40+ hours per week
Day shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
