We are an oral surgery office that takes pride in providing outstanding and compassionate patient care. As such, we hire only the strongest, most qualified team members.
We currently have an opening for a professional, dedicated and organized dental assistant (RDA) to become part of our team. Our Dental Assistants are our patient’s liaison and doctor’s right hand while patients are under our care. For that reason, it is essential you have a desire to work and help people, provide friendly and genuine customer care and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Preparing patients for surgery by making them comfortable and providing any
instructions.
* Sterilizing instruments and equipment.
* Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
* Preparing the procedure rooms for and making sure it is stocked and organized.
* Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control
procedures.
* Assisting the doctor during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and
getting supplies.
* Take digital x-rays – panorex and periapical.
* Assisting with dental lab work.
* Willing and able to support all practice departments if needed.
Requirements
The job requires an individual with the following qualifications:
- Certified dental assistant (RDA)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Prior assisting experience, oral surgery experience preferred
- Strong, work related, ethical and trustworthy references.
- Cooperative work attitude toward colleagues, physicians, management, patients and guests.
- Positive, self-confident and eager to keep learning.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
