Tool Room Machinist
Carol Stream, Illinois
SALARY RANGE: $23-$40/hr
Hours: 6:00AM - 4:30PM
Days: Monday -Thursday
Essential Job Functions:
- Machine & build fixtures and devices that hold & cradle our product for finish machining various operations.
- Set up/Operate CNC’s & Machining Centers via Mastercam.
- Work on Production parts.
- Build new forming and sizing dies to produce our products (elbow-cap-reducer forming)
- Repair and maintain all tools.
- Assure flow of production and repair at worksite press
- Order perishable tools used in tool room
- Order alloy and or tool steels per specs
- Drive Forklift
Required Skills:
- Fanuc lathe and mill controls a plus.
- Mazak lathe and mill controls a plus.
- Must be able to use all Tool Room machines, Lathe – Bridgeport Mill – Drill Presses – Table Grinders – Hardness Tester etc. CNC experience (set up/operate)
- Must know the capability of alloy tool steel and their heat treat limits. Be able to select the proper steel for specific applications.
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience turning & milling set-up, all around Machinist and Mastercam
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Read and work from blueprint
- Must be reliable
- Good communication skills
Required Materials:
- Steel-toe safety footwear mandatory
- Safety glasses w/ side shield*
- Hearing protection mandatory (provided by the company)
*Safety glasses provided unless employee wears prescription.
*Prescription safety glasses must be OSHA-approved with side shields.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
