Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Duties
- Diagnose issues with HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ammonia refrigeration systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on HVAC equipment, ensuring all work adheres to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems effectively.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines, drainage, and water supply connections
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems.
- Knowledge of construction principles relevant to installing or repairing HVAC systems within commercial or residential properties.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with skills in plumbing, refrigeration repair, boiler maintenance, and appliance troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting on-site issues efficiently and safely.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus; valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites.
- Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are advantageous for equipment repair or fabrication tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform equipment repair, maintenance tasks, and property upkeep effectively. Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
