South Mountain Community College is seeking a dedicated and motivated Associate Head Coach to support both the men’s and women’s athletic programs. Located in the heart of Phoenix, the college has a proud tradition of competitive excellence and community engagement, and is looking for a candidate who is committed to continuing that legacy.
The Associate Head Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to support all aspects of the program. Key responsibilities include assisting with fundraising efforts to sustain and grow the program, helping student-athletes schedule and maintain courses to ensure academic eligibility, and actively participating in daily practices and team activities. This role also requires carrying out all duties assigned by the Head Coach, including game preparation, player development, and administrative support.
Schedule Requirements:
- 2 Practices a week
- Attend all In-County (PHX) Tournaments
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and passionate about mentoring student-athletes both on and off the course. Strong communication skills, a commitment to academic success, and the ability to contribute to a positive team culture are essential.
